ISEH Cancellation and Refund Policy
All event cancellations must be received in writing to info@iseh.org. For cancellations received before 6 August 2025, deposits will be refunded less $75 USD for administrative costs. For cancellations after 6 August 2025, refunds will not be provided. Participants can request a transfer of registration to another individual, which must also be submitted in writing to info@iseh.org.
Terms and Conditions
If any circumstance or event beyond the control of ISEH causes cancellation of all or any portion of the event, ISEH agrees to refund any portion of the registration fee which ISEH is reimbursed by insurance or other third party and shall not be liable for any other refund or payment arising from the cancellation or for other liability or damages arising from the event.
ISEH photographers may take photos or videos of attendees. Please be aware that these photos and videos are for ISEH's use only, and may appear in ISEH materials and on ISEH social media sites. ISEH reserves the right to use personal identifiable information collected or business purposes, such as minimizing potential hotel attrition penalties for the association. ISEH sends occasional emails from exhibitors and sponsors prior to the event, informing attendees of giveaways, special events, and new releases. These emails are sent through ISEH. ISEH does not share email addresses with third parties. If you wish to opt-out of these emails, contact ISEH. ISEH provides reasonable accommodations for our attendees without undue burden. Attendees are asked to specify any requirements or any dietary restrictions or food allergies before 5 September 2025, so any necessary rearrangements may be made. Attendees should submit this information through their registration form. A staff member may contact attendees to discuss accommodations.
By registering for the conference you consent to all of the above. If you have any questions or concerns please contact ISEH at privacy@iseh.org.
ISEH Code of Conduct
The International Society for Experimental Hematology (“ISEH”) is committed to providing a safe, productive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all meeting participants and ISEH staff. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, ISEH staff members and service providers are expected to abide by this Meeting Code of Conduct (“Code”). This Code applies to all ISEH conferences and conference related events and other meetings, including those events and meetings held in conjunction with an ISEH conference or meeting, whether in-person or on public or private platforms (collectively, “meetings”).
ISEH has zero-tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or our staff at or during meetings.
Unacceptable Behavior includes, without limitation:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, ISEH staff member, service provider, or other meeting participant. Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to age, race, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, country of origin, culture, language, religion, spiritual beliefs, legal status, health history, and disability, or threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, ISEH staff member, service provider, or other meeting participant.
- Disruption of presentations or any element of an in-person or virtual meeting or sessions.
- Other behavior, actions or activities deemed disruptive, unacceptable, or contrary to the best interests of ISEH as determined by ISEH in its sole and absolute discretion.
Other ISEH Meeting Rules and Participant Guidelines
In addition, the following rules apply to all ISEH meetings:
- Presentations, postings, and messages may not contain abusive comments, promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. ISEH reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban the source(s) of such solicitations from its meetings.
- Participants may not record, photograph or take screen shots of presenter slides, Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in the in-person or virtual spaces. Recording or taking photographs is considered unethical as we have encouraged the presenters to share unpublished data. Attendees are welcome to discuss the meeting on social media (Twitter/X, etc…), but should not disclose the scientific content of presentations.
- All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any ISEH event staff.
- ISEH reserves the right to take any action it deems necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from a meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of Unacceptable Behavior or other violation of this Code, and ISEH reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future virtual or in-person meeting.
We ask that all attendees also please abide by the following compassionate participation guidelines when participating in sessions:
- Speak from your own experience instead of generalizing (“I” instead of “they,” “we,” “you”).
- Notice and question when you experience defensive feelings and triggers when they arise.
- The goal is not always to agree, but rather to perhaps gain a deeper understanding of each other.
If You Experience or Witness Harassment
If you experience harassment or witness any incidents of Unacceptable Behavior (as defined in the Code of Conduct statement), ISEH asks that you inform, in writing, Katie Strang, kstrang@iseh.org, so that ISEH can take the appropriate action. Such reports or complaints may be oral (please request Katie Strang at the registration desk) or in writing, although ISEH may ask the person making any oral complaint to put such complaint in writing. Information provided will be kept confidential to the extent possible and practicable under the circumstances. Please note, however, that disclosure may be necessary to fashion an appropriate action.
