Newly established for 2020 in honor of Professor Janet Rowley, a human geneticist and the first scientist to identify a chromosomal translocation as the cause of leukemia and other cancers, this award is intended to recognize early career scientists who have made outstanding scientific contributions to the field.
The requirements for this award are:
- Current Member of ISEH
- Maximum of 7 years* as independent group leader
- Active scientifically and able to have a featured lecture at the ISEH Annual Scientific Meeting
- Not a current member of the ISEH Executive Committee or Awards Committee
- Strong presentation skills
